Comfort and Build
The Newton Composite Footplate is moulded from composite rather than pressed from steel or aluminium. It cuts weight at the front of the chair and does not corrode in coastal conditions.
Adjustability
Match hanger type and mounting hole pattern, and check footplate depth against the user's foot length in shoes. Angle adjustment depends on the hanger rather than the plate itself.
Safety and Care
A footplate set too high lifts the thighs off the seat; set too low it drags the user forward. Re-set the height with the user's actual cushion in place rather than judging it on an empty chair.
Suitable For
This footplate suits users replacing a bent, cracked or corroded plate, active users cutting weight at the front of the chair, and chairs used near the coast where steel has corroded.
