The ICON Standing Hoist raises a user from sitting to standing using a knee support and a chest or under-arm sling, holding them upright through a short transfer between bed, chair and commode.

Adjustability

Leg spread is measured against the furniture the hoist must pass around, including beds, commodes and armchairs. Standing hoists use different slings from mobile hoists and are not interchangeable.

Safety and Care

The weight-bearing assessment is the deciding criterion, not the user's weight. Used with someone who cannot bear weight or cooperate, a standing hoist becomes unsafe rather than merely unsuitable.
